Desert Doyenne

The Suzanna Dai Spring/Summer 2011 collection was inspired by many desert locations throughout the world: Tangiers, Jaipur, and Palm Springs, to name a few.  I’ve had a fascination with the desert since I first traveled out west when I was 17.  There’s something very pure and spiritual about a barren, sun-beaten landscape covered in sand.  I found some images from Vogue in the 1960s that conveyed my inspiration.  Pictures to follow.
