Is The Game Of Life A Waiting Game?

Pertaining to matters of the heart, are relationships like fashion? Do you understand the love of a particular ensemble and equally understand its shelf life? What if you grow out of it? What if it never really fit, but instead was a look you so much wanted to pull off that you squeezed yourself into it? Making “it” (your life, look, or life look) fit when it never really did…

What when the fashion of these emotions are unreturnable? Is one allotted a store credit to the Boutique of Love? An emotional store credit. Like sitting front row during fashion week and watching the fall collections beautifully prance down the aisles, we sit and love from afar. So (during and) after the heartache of a breakup do women understand exactly what it is they want pertaining to life’s amorous affairs, and do we sit and wait for them to blossom before us? Just as we patiently wait for the seasons to change (as momentarily it’s barely spring) for the appropriate time to don our latest and greatest- whether it be a fall fashion ensemble or heart decorated in love. Something we set our sights to look, seem and be… Another waiting game we women (willing or not) must participate in.

So as I sit here and wait for Suzanna Dai’s Fall 2012 Collection to be readily available for me to don, I will also sit and wait for a love fitting for me to fashion…

(Mind you, I’m currently sitting pretty in a taxi heading back to my apartment from the opera, a solo date I took myself on, decked in two of my favorites by Suzanna Dai- the Windsor Necklace and Windsor Button Earrings. Sigh… Now THAT’S love!)
