My fascination with the 1920s continues as I am currently reading a biography of Louise Brooks, the quintessential flapper and “It” girl of the era (move over, Clara Bow).  This was a really revolutionary time for women - they started to wear short skirts that showed their legs, corsets and stifling undergarments all but disappeared, and the androgynous “bob” haircut and the invention of the dropped waistline (which “boy"ified the female form) began to blur traditional ideas of what was considered female beauty. Never one to follow tradition, Louise Brooks led the way.  She’s a true fashion icon!
